Welcome to Reception/P1 and P2!

Welcome to Reception/P1 and P2. We have all settled into our new class very well and we are always busy working, learning and playing with Mrs Duffy, Mrs Reavey and Helen.

We love learning through play every day! We take part in role play, construction, arts and crafts, small world and sand. We share our play news at the end of each session and report on what we have made.

In Literacy we have been busy learning new sounds, letter formation, rhymes and exploring lots of books.

In Numeracy we have been forming our numbers, making patterns, learning about shapes and gathering information.

Our WAU topic has been ‘discovering me.’ We have been learning how we are so unique and special. We have sequenced pictures on a timeline, created our own timeline, sorted ourselves from smallest to tallest and we really enjoyed our taste test!

Every Tuesday we look forward to our GAA skills with Mickey and we have our PE session with Mrs Duffy on Friday.

In Religion we like to hear about Jesus and his family.

We are a very busy class who love to learn!
