All our Primary 7 pupils really enjoyed the Confirmation Retreat on Wednesday 5th March in the De La Salle Retreat Centre, Belfast.
The children participated in lots of activities to help them prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation and learn about being blessed with the “Gifts and Fruits” of the Holy Spirit.
This very special retreat concluded with all the children participating in a beautiful Prayer Service to prepare them for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday 20th March in St. Malachy’s Church, Ballymoyer.
This Confirmation Retreat was very beneficial for the Primary 7 pupils, not only as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, but the Retreat also provided the children with opportunities of meeting and engaging in activities with children from the three other schools in the Parish before transferring to Post-Primary Schools in September.
After the retreat, the children really enjoyed Bowling in “Air-tastic” Lisburn, which was followed by a fabulous meal in the “Bostin Grill”, a local restaurant.
We thank Fr. Murphy, Brendan and the facilitators of the De La Salle Retreat Centre for providing this wonderful opportunity to our Primary 7 pupils.
