We were delighted to be awarded The Green Flag Award from the Eco Schools Programme in June.
The Eco-committee worked so hard to achieve this, caring for the school environment, increasing Biodiversity and reducing the amount of litter produced at Lunchtime. We have also received a £100 prize for taking part in the “Litter Less Campaign 2024” , we have purchased a new outdoor picnic table with this prize money.
Congratulations to Mrs Kelly-Eco-Schools coordinator and The Eco committee on this much deserved achievement.
A special word of thanks to Mr Michael McElroy who helped the Primary Seven pupils create beautiful new planters from recycled wood and fill them with flowers.
We also planted a new apple tree to celebrate this award and increase the biodiversity of our school grounds in the Orchard county!
I would like to thank Mrs Kelly and our Eco-Committee for all their very hard work and commitment to our school’s environmental work.
